Tempie arrived at Althea Crownwood when she was a year and a half old, and from day one we knew we were dealing with an exceptional dog. Our relationship with Tempie began when we contacted Beverley Rutland-Manners, founder of the breed and of Rutland Manor , with the dream of acquiring a puppy directly from her most exclusive lines. For months, we shared our philosophy of responsible and ethical breeding , creating a deep connection based on respect, honesty, and animal welfare.

In an unexpected and unique way, after months of conversations and mutual trust, Beverley surprised us with a proposal that touched our hearts and represented a true honor, as well as an enormous responsibility: she offered us to incorporate Tempie into Althea Crownwood as our founding dog.
This was no small feat: Tempie was not only carefully selected for her temperament, build and lineage , reflecting the very best of the Rutland Manor program, but she was also bred and lived with Beverley as her personal companion dog , ensuring exceptional socialization and temperament.
Beverley always meticulously selected the dogs she kept for herself, and that was the case with Tempie. Her combination of beauty, balanced temperament, and optimal health makes her a true benchmark for our responsible Australian Cobberdog breeding program in Spain , setting a global standard of excellence.

With Tempie's arrival in our family, Beverley sent us an official letter signed by her:
"On the eve of my retirement after sixty-five years breeding dogs, I welcome the opportunity to place Tempie 'Rutlands Red Hot Temptress' into the caring hands of Althea Crownwood Australian Cobberdogs in Spain as the foundation female of their breeding program. It was a tough decision for Beverley to offer Tempie to us, but after staying in touch with her months later, Beverley wrote us this sentence that touched us deeply, reaffirming that we are on the right path:
"There is one thing I do know and it's that I don't regret even for an instant sending Tempie to you. It is as it should be. She is where she belongs."
