Lio's Story
Our story with Lio began unexpectedly, as the most special connections usually do.
We contacted Tegan Park, one of the world's most prestigious and respected Australian Cobberdog breeders, with the intention of adding a female to our responsible breeding program. However, fate had other plans.
For months we shared with Tegan our philosophy of ethical breeding , based on animal welfare , early socialization and the search for emotionally balanced temperaments .
From that exchange, a relationship of trust and mutual admiration was born. It was then that Tegan told us about a young red male named Tegan's Bronzed Silk Lio. She told us he had a special character , an unusual calmness , and a deep capacity for emotional connection .
It wasn't originally part of our plans, but his words touched us:
“This puppy has something unique about him. I wouldn't offer him to anyone else, but I think he'll be where he belongs with you.”
And so it was. When we met Lio, we instantly understood why he was so special: his calm gaze, serene energy, and inner balance reflect the very essence of the Australian Cobberdog: sensitivity, intelligence, and nobility.

From the very beginning, our relationship with Tegan was more than professional: we spent months of video calls sharing not only knowledge about genetics and responsible breeding, but also laughs, talking about TV shows, vacation destinations, and little anecdotes from our daily lives.
Each conversation brought us closer to understanding the essence of the Australian Cobberdog and preparing us to incorporate new generations into Althea Crownwood .
Although we were initially looking for a female to continue our breeding program, fate had another surprise in store for us. Tegan suggested Lio, an exceptional male , raised with a therapy character from puppyhood, whom they themselves had decided to keep for their own breeding program. They sent us photos, videos, and every detail of his early life, and we soon realized that Lio was no ordinary cobberdog : he was the partner our breeding vision and legacy needed.
Lio embodies the trust and connection we forged with Tegans Australian Cobberdogs . He stands out not only for his intense red color and impressive presence, but above all for his balanced temperament, his calmness with children, adults, and other animals, and his ability to win everyone over with his charisma.
